Coil spring assisters are designed for use with the extra loading of towing or added weight in the boot, and help maintain driving comfort when the vehicle is unloaded as well as maintaining comfort and safety when the vehicle is subjected to towing conditions. The spring assisters are needed as most standard car springs are not strong enough to take the extra loading of towing, they are manufactured in a hard rubber compound and do not require specialist tools for fitting. Coil spring assisters are progressive in operation and are available in four sizes. Each pack contains one assister.
To determine the correct size for your vehicle measure the gap between the coils approximately halfway down the spring when the vehicle is jacked up and the wheels are clear of the ground.
